QUICK FACTS ABOUT CLUB RAINBOW
• The charity was registered as a independent not-for-profit organisation in 1992.
• Our mission is to provide compassionate relevant services to children suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their families
• Our vision is to be a leading service provider meeting the needs of chronically ill children and their families
• The charity is headed by a Management Council of volunteers who are professionals in diverse fields including medicine, law, financial management and education
• Club Rainbow aims to help children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their families
• We work closely with the National University Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the neonatal ward of the Singapore General Hospital
• All the children are referred to us by their doctors
• We provide emotional, informational, educational, social and financial support to our beneficiaries - the children and their families
• All our core services are free
• We are currently helping more than 470 children and their families
• Each year our social workers conduct about 150 home visits and more than 1,000 counselling sessions
• The charity relies totally on public donations
• We need to raise over S$2 million annually
• Club Rainbow has Institution of Public Character (IPC) status. All monetary donations qualify for double tax exemption benefits.
